Gary Filizetti, President of Devcon Construction, Inc., manages a company active in all phases of Construction, Development, and Architectural Design. He continues to supervise the firm’s estimating and construction activities which encompass as many as 100+ individual projects at any given time. Filizetti joined Devcon in 1980 and served as Vice President in charge of Estimating and Construction until his appointment as President in 1986. Over the years, he has been directly involved in the construction of more than twenty million square feet of tenant improvement work and over thirty million square feet of building shells including major facilities for Cisco Systems, Inc., Adobe Systems, SGI, Yahoo! and Network Appliance. Specialized construction projects include a state-of-the-art training facility for the San Francisco Forty-Niners football team and the San Jose Jet Center, a privately owned and operated airport facility accommodating both private and corporate aircraft. A veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Filizetti served as a project manager for another large Northern California construction company immediately prior to joining Devcon. He also served as a contract negotiator for Fairchild Semiconductor in both the Bay Area region of California and in the Far East. A graduate of Santa Clara University, Filizetti holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration degree in Commerce.
Bret Sisney, Vice President of Devcon Construction, Inc., is responsible for the Accounting, Finance and Investment Departments. He manages daily and long-term accounting and the corporate banking functions. Sisney also oversees Devcon's investment and development projects, and he is in charge of the company's pension and profit-sharing plans. Before joining Devcon in 1988, Sisney, who is a Certified Public Accountant, worked eight years for the international accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick, where he specialized in auditing real estate and construction companies. At Peat Marwick, he was a senior manager working on both real estate development and construction companies, including closely held construction companies like Devcon. In addition, he has worked with a number of high tech companies both public and private. Sisney earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Santa Clara University in 1980. He is a member of the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction/Financial Manager Association.
Andy Schatzman, Vice President of Construction, joined Devcon Construction, Inc. in February of 1999 in the capacity of Senior Project Manager bringing with him sixteen years previous experience in the construction industry. Andy has completed numerous multi-million dollar projects demonstrating his abilities to coordinate the multiple disciplines involved in construction management projects. He possesses the necessary management and communication skills, knowledge of state and local codes and the ability to perform well during fast tracked and complicated projects while remaining within the allotted budgets Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University, a Contractors (B) License and is E.I.T. Daisy Pereira, Vice President of Construction, joined Devcon Construction, Inc. in March of 1986 in the capacity of Senior Project Manager, bringing with her some 10 years of diverse construction experience. Daisy supervises estimating and construction activities of multiple projects, and has been responsible for preconstruction, budgeting contract negotiation, and construction of well over 14,000,000 SF of shell and tenant improvements. She has managed numerous projects with design/build requirements and oversees the projects from conceptual budgeting to completion. Daisy provides oversight and direction for the entire project management and design/build team from the pre-construction phase to closeout. She is the primary contact for the project team and her responsibilities include supervision with design, pre-construction activities, cost estimating, scheduling, client interface, bidding, purchasing, procurement, risk management, and cost control. Jonathan Harvey, Vice President of Construction, joined Devcon Construction, Inc. in December of 1994 as a Project Engineer and was promoted to Project Manager/Estimator in March of 1996. Prior to joining Devcon, Jonathan worked on budgeting, estimating and managing construction of site improvements, wood structure buildings and interior improvements. Jonathan has extensive experience with a variety of software applications for scheduling, estimating and project management. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a Major in Finance from Santa Clara University. He has successfully completed LEED, Core Concepts and Strategies course.
