Features: 178,000 SF design/build data center facility development for Exodus Communications in Austin, Texas. Construction services include managing the programming of the facility with Exodus Corporate Facilities in Santa Clara, procuring the design team in Texas and managing the design, permitting and construction of the Data Center. The facility will open with over 70,000 square feet of data center floor with electrical infrastructure to expand to over 160,000 square feet of data center floor. The project also included the installation of a 14 MW electrical substation with redundant utility fed primary power from dual sources, an indoor generator plant to accommodate 12 1250 KW generators with the associated paralleling gear, and an underground infrastructure to accommodate multiple fiberoptic vendors providing OC 48 bandwidth capacity. The project was designed and constructed in less than 12 weeks.
