Gary Filizetti, President of Devcon Construction, Inc., manages a company active in all phases of Construction, Development, and Architectural Design. He continues to supervise the firm’s estimating and construction activities which encompass as many as 100+ individual projects at any given time.

Filizetti joined Devcon in 1980 and served as Vice President in charge of Estimating and Construction until his appointment as President in 1986. Over the years, he has been directly involved in the construction of more than twenty million square feet of tenant improvement work and over thirty million square feet of building shells including major facilities for Cisco Systems, Inc., Adobe Systems, SGI, Yahoo! and Network Appliance. Specialized construction projects include a state-of-the-art training facility for the San Francisco Forty-Niners football team and the San Jose Jet Center, a privately owned and operated airport facility accommodating both private and corporate aircraft.

A veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Filizetti served as a project manager for another large Northern California construction company immediately prior to joining Devcon. He also served as a contract negotiator for Fairchild Semiconductor in both the Bay Area region of California and in the Far East.

A graduate of Santa Clara University, Filizetti holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration degree in Commerce.

 

Bret Sisney, Vice President, is responsible for the Accounting, Finance and Investment Departments. He manages daily and long-term accounting and the corporate banking functions. Sisney also oversees Devcon's investment and development projects, and he is in charge of the company's pension and profit-sharing plans.

Before joining Devcon in 1988, Sisney, who is a Certified Public Accountant, worked eight years for the international accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick, where he specialized in auditing real estate and construction companies. At Peat Marwick, he was a senior manager working on both real estate development and construction companies, including closely held construction companies like Devcon. In addition, he has worked with a number of high tech companies both public and private.

Sisney earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Santa Clara University in 1980. He is a member of the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction/Financial Manager Association.
