This 799,578 SF project consists of two 3-story steel buildings with an attached 5-story parking garage, located on the Aquatic Park in Berkeley; the core/shell buildings are prepped for lab/life science tenants. The building roofs are comprised of over 40,000 SF of green roof area, as well as rooftop solar panels to achieve a net zero energy use for the core/shell. The façade consists of curtain wall with bird safe glass, terra cotta panels and fins, and metal paneling. Site improvements feature a communal elevated deck area between the buildings, as well as a new bike path and roadway along Bolivar Drive. The project will receive a LEED Gold rating.
