This project includes an 8,500 SF Café with authentic Japanese design elements, such as private dining rooms with recessed floors and shoji screen doors, tatami mat seating areas, and fabric wall panels. Other high-end finishes include stone tile floors, hand-painted wall tiles, wood slat ceilings, custom banquettes, and numerous other custom wood elements. Exterior improvements feature an updated patio area with built-in wood benches, a new fountain, cedar perimeter fence, and new Japanese gate structures. The Café was built inside an occupied building and completed successfully on an extremely tight seven week schedule, requiring double- and triple-shifts for the full duration.
