  • Endeavor Campus

    This design/build project consists of demolition of a 5-building campus, with new construction of a 3-level, 525,000 SF Class A office building above a 2-level, 540,000 SF below grade parking garage. This iconic, open floor concept building has an exposed, triangular grid structural steel framing over PT concrete podium. Unique features include faceted, architectural roof with 260 triangle skylights, aluminum panel interior “heart” structure, raised floors with underfloor HVAC, in-slab radiant heating/cooling, 220,000 SF of terrazzo flooring and a 90’ central atrium. Project also includes offsite improvements, “make ready” work package with public sewer main relocation, and nine acres of site work.   • Stanford Auxiliary Library 3.2

    This project includes the renovation of an additional 35,542 SF to existing the 38,000 SF library. The project includes a 23,511 SF book storage facility in three 7,737 square foot fire separated storage modules that are temperature and humidity controlled environment in mezzanines with in the modules. The module structure consists of pre-stressed precast colored and exposed aggregate concrete panel, fireproofed steel structure and in-rack pre-action fire sprinkler system. The process office expansion is 9,300 SF and consists of exposed CMU walls, curtain wall window system and clerestory glass exterior skin. Process office space also consists of temperature controlled film storage room, break room expansion, restrooms, offices and book scanning rooms. Site work includes expansion of parking lot, loop access road, landscape areas, patio, and a storm drain system to meet current C3 requirement.   • Jazz Pharmaceuticals - 3181 Porter

    The core and shell scope of the project included the demolition of three buildings and site work for a new 2-story 100,000 SF steel, core/shell office building on 90,000 SF of below-grade parking and 35,000 SF of surface parking and site work. Exterior façade is GFRC with glass, metal panel, and wood accents.This project also consists of a 98,000 SF tenant improvement within a new 2-story core/shell building featuring multiple breakrooms, private and open offices, conference rooms, IDF/MDF rooms and a high-end multitenant lobby with terrazzo tile flooring. Additionally, project includes a 2,000 SF multi-purpose room with a motorized skyfold partition and high tech video array wall.   • UCSC McHenry Library

    The McHenry Library Addition project expands and upgrades the McHenry Library located on the University of Santa Cruz campus. Project consists of a new 118,891 SF 5-story poured in place concrete addition to the existing 162,364 SF McHenry Library Building. Scope for this addition includes a complete interior build-out for immediate use upon completion. Additionally, due to the nature of this project, the work also includes modification to the existing foundations on the south and west sides of the existing Library building, modification to existing mechanical rooms in the library, and various site improvements.   • Caribbean Creative Campus

    This iconic build-to-suit project consists of two new steel framed, stepped buildings totaling 1,000,000 SF. The buildings feature sloping green roofs that provide walking access and exterior site amenities at each floor. A new four level pre-cast concrete parking structure at the northwest corner of the site provides 1,440 stalls, and extensive landscaping with enhanced flood protection levees and pedestrian bridges activates the balance of the site. Interior improvements include open office space, conference rooms, food service, and fitness areas.     This 78,760 SF building features a 3-story, Type V-A, wood framed slab on grade. The complex consists of 90 affordable senior housing apartment units with service facilities at the ground floor. Project also consists of a 2-story open air community room, bike storage, laundry rooms, meeting rooms and exercise room. This project includes a fast track 11 month schedule due to federal requirements that displaced residents from the previous complex; residents needed to be moved back in within one year.     Construction of a 33,000 SF arena facility and modular locker, featuring training and restroom units for the D-League Santa Cruz Warriors. Structure is a Type II-B sprinkled single story sports arena with a pre-engineered tensile fabric membrane and clad metal panel siding. Seating will be comprised of both fixed and retractable seat back and bench seats. Court lighting via structure suspended Musco lighting. All sports equipment is NBA rated including courtside seating, wood flooring, scoreboards and scorer’s tables, shot clocks and portable backboards.     The project consists of 249,000 SF four-level concrete parking structure providing 812 vehicle spaces. The structure is constructed of pre-cast concrete columns and beams with cast in place post-tensioned floor decks and poured-in-place perimeter moment beam lateral elements supported on a pier foundation. Structure includes two stair wells and a masonry elevator tower. The exterior consists of an array of vertical perforated aluminum plate and stainless steel mesh panels.     This project includes a 184,993 SF design/build Thermomass Insulated tilt-up panel building with 40’ clear height on a 10 acre site. The project features 15,000 SF of offices, warehouse office and warehouse restrooms, and consists of a carbon-neutral design with no gas to the building and includes installation of a partial solar array with the expectations to build out the maximum allowable solar array within one year after project demands can be determined. Project also features 16 dock positions with two oversized drive indoors and complete site retention/detention with no runoff to storm drain allowed. Project consists of a multitude of client input including the request to design the project to represent the Reno/Sparks/Tahoe area, thus the use of reveals to create a mountainous theme on the front of the building. The exterior paint color selections are based on the usage of the QBP marketing color palette.     This new 130,000 SF manufacturing facility in the Bay Area that is broken down in three main areas consists of a 70,000 SF dirty manufacturing area and a packaging/shipping area of approximately 30,000 SF, and an office area of approximately 20,000 SF. The manufacturing area includes approximately 30 tools including Ingot tools, furnaces, saws, PCVD Tools, chemical wet benches etc. The testing, packaging/shipping areas have tools and were built as a Class 10,000 room.
