This project consists of conversion of 130,000 SF lab space into Facebook use featuring new kitchen, major event presentation space, interstitial stair additions, and significant site upgrades. Much of the project was completed in partially occupied building with shaft and roof modifications in live building. Construction schedule was reduced by half the time with staff working seven days a week, shiftwork, and extreme fast-track methods. The building consists of structural steel, metal decking, a combination of terra cotta, glass/glazing, and zinc metal wall panels. The project consists of a 6-story building with a mezzanine level, 7,000 SF of retail/storefront space, with amenity space to include a fitness room, tech room, lounge/bar, commercial grade kitchen for resident use, and an exterior courtyard area with an outdoor fireplace, bar and BBQ. Below-grade parking area features a bicycle room with a service station, and custom lockers and racks. This 23,500 SF project consists of a new library, student center, counseling offices, study rooms, student activities center, campus store, two new classrooms, and renovation of six existing classrooms. Project includes the demolition of approximately 10,000 SF of an existing building and the renovation/improvements of the remaining 5,800 SF that will be made a part of the new building. Due to needs of the school, project required an involved phasing plan allowing portions of the existing building to remain occupied during construction. Design/build mixed-use project organized into six blocks/buildings. Blocks 1 and 2 are underlain by a 4-level below grade parking garage totaling 472,000 SF. Each of the two blocks consists of a 6-story concrete building. The first floors of the two buildings feature retail/restaurant/commercial space totaling 54,000 SF and floors 2-6 feature office space totaling 451,000 SF. Blocks 3 and 4 are not included at this time. Block 5 consists of a large parking garage with 1-level below grade and eight levels above grade totaling 546,900 SF. The first floor consists of 12,600 SF of retail space. Block 6 features 19,000 SF of retail/restaurant on the first floor, and a 55,000 SF theater on the second floor. - Reno Aces Suite Level
Project 1: Demolition and refresh of Bugsy’s/The Club restaurant that overlooks the left field area from the suite level. Refresh included new flooring, removal of one bar area, addition of buffet cabinetry, bar refresh with a new tile front and updated countertops. The original ceiling in the ceiling coffers were removed and new Armstrong wood ceilings and specialized lighting was added to these areas to create the retro look the Aces were designing for. Project 2: Demolition and updating of one suite and the suite hallway with updated cabinetry, countertops, carpeting, and lighting. The remainder of the suites will be managed in the next year refresh. Project 3: Creating a steel trellis at the rightfield bar. Included structural steel installation for the main trellis structure as well as Longboard (aluminum to look like wood) installed between the structural steel members to create a wood like roofing structure. Lighting, signage, and fans were also added. Project 4: Double Play Area – Included demoing three rows of stadium seats at the medium deck of the stadium and created a multi level party zone with railing and drink rails for a party of 50 people for the Aces. The building houses a gymnasium, weight training room and athletic support spaces, a student activities center, campus store, and faculty offices for the dean, nurse, counseling and college guidance staff. The two-story building totals four levels including a basement. Construction is concrete mat slab on grade and retaining walls, structural steel frame with light gauge steel infill, with glass, metal panel and plaster skin.
