SAFETY SAFETY One of the primary objectives of our Devcon team is to adopt a proper accident prevention program outlining responsibilities and safety requirements for all employees, subcontractors and suppliers on the project. It is mandatory that all personnel engaged in work on our projects comply with all Federal, State, and Local Safety Codes and Regulations for the duration of construction. Safety meetings for all workers are conducted on a weekly basis. EMR National Experience Modification Rating (EMR) This rating compares a company’s safety record to the records of its peers in the industry. This number, also termed the mod rating, plays a role in determining insurance premiums and evaluating a company’s risk profile. The average EMR rating is 1.0 and denotes the industry standard. The lower EMR ratings usually falls around 0.5, indicating an excellent record of safety.     This project consists of the development of a 14.5 acre site to accommodate an 18,000 seat Major League Soccer stadium with a 24,000 SF team office building. The stadium consists of 16 luxury suites, a press box, and concession stands. It features a steel structure with aluminum decking, CMU concourse buildings, metal panels, metal screening and a partial canopy. The office building, which is a steel structure with glass, metal panel and CMU skin, consists of office space, team lockers and showers, coach and referee facilities, ticketing office, and physical therapy/training areas. The Epicenter Fan Zone covers two acres and includes a sustainable stadium garden. Green features also include 882 solar panels in the VIP parking lot, reclaimed redwood from Moffett Field’s famed Hangar One to panel the press box, as well as 90% of recycled steel. This project boasts the largest outdoor bar in North America, under the scoreboard.     This project consists of 51,000 SF interior tenant improvements of floors 1, 4 and 5 of a recently completed 8-story building. The first level consists of a small break area, security/badging, and a large training room. Floors 4 and 5 include office space, conference rooms, full break rooms and features open ceilings throughout most of the space which highlight the structure. High-end finishes include millwork wall paneling and wood ceilings, meeting booth (pods) and fabric ceiling panels. The fourth floor also features a servery, catering kitchen and dining area which serve as “All-hands” space.     Pre-construction and construction services were provided by Devcon for the 68,500 seat football stadium at the Great America site in Santa Clara. Devcon’s preconstruction effort began in 1997 with the passing of the voter approved ballot measures to construct a stadium and mall at Candlestick Point. Devcon performed pre-construction services for the Candlestick Point location and other locations throughout the Bay Area at various times in the early 2000’s until the project restarted in 2006 with a new architect at the Candlestick location. In 2008, the project moved to Santa Clara at its current location. Design/build pre-construction services included stadium and sitework estimating, structural and MEP systems constructability and life cycle analysis, design/build scope of work and criteria, scheduling and GMP bidding.   • Stanford Crothers Hall

    This project includes a 104,342 SF renovation of existing 3- story dormitory buildings to house approximately 378 undergraduate students (84 premier single spaces and 294 non-premier large traditional double spaces). A new Resident Fellow, self contained apartment was added in the renovation, as well as six new offices. A seismic upgrade at the hall brought the structure to current seismic performance standards. Project also includes an HVAC upgrade and architectural remodel.     23,000 SF data center with raised computer flooring. Project will include the installation of a 12 KV primary gear and (2) 2000 KVA transformers, (2) 1250 KW generators and transfer switches, (12) 125 KVA PDU’s, 480 volt switchgear and distribution panels and (2) 750 KVA UPS systems with static switches including 15 minute batteries. In addition, the project will also include main and distribution feeders, raceways and outlets for data floor, as well as HVAC units and fire protection.     Project consists of one new five-story parking structure totaling approximately 950,000 SF and one new three-story parking structure totaling approximately 311,000 SF. Structure features precast concrete beams and columns with poured in place decks, a geo-pier foundation, as well as provisions for electrical vehicle charges at the roof and ground floor level. Skin includes combination of precast/thinshell, metal paneling/cladding, and curtainwall/storefront systems.
