    Project consists of the complete demolition of the existing structure and the construction of a new 3-story, 30,000 SF poured-in-place concrete structure with a combination of glass, metal panel, screening elements and limestone façade. The 1.4 acre site includes an entry patio with a fountain, permeable interlocking pavers, bio-retention areas, planting and site concrete work. The first floor provides an OSHPD-3 certified space for clinical research including a customized space for pediatric research. The second and third floors have work space for researchers and conference rooms for interdisciplinary research teams.     This design/build mixed-use building is located in downtown Palo Alto, CA. The project consists of a 4-story above grade cast-in-place concrete and structural steel building totaling 26,870 SF and includes a 3-story basement parking garage totaling 25,800 SF. The fourth floor features a 4,850 SF high-end residential penthouse with a 1,330 SF outdoor patio/terrace area. The basement is constructed using a soldier beam and tieback shoring system with underpinning of adjacent structures. The exterior skin of the building includes insulated glass systems, laminated glass systems, decorative aluminum elements, mechanically anchored large format limestone, smooth plaster, and lighting elements.
