    This design/build mixed-use building is located in downtown Palo Alto, CA. The project consists of a 4-story above grade cast-in-place concrete and structural steel building totaling 26,870 SF and includes a 3-story basement parking garage totaling 25,800 SF. The fourth floor features a 4,850 SF high-end residential penthouse with a 1,330 SF outdoor patio/terrace area. The basement is constructed using a soldier beam and tieback shoring system with underpinning of adjacent structures. The exterior skin of the building includes insulated glass systems, laminated glass systems, decorative aluminum elements, mechanically anchored large format limestone, smooth plaster, and lighting elements.     This project features construction of two new Student Housing buildings at the University’s Lone Mountain campus. Both buildings are wood framed construction over concrete parking garage/podium. The West building is 110,760 SF and consists of five stories over a 1-story parking garage; this building provides 71 dormitory units, as well as amenity spaces. The East building is 123,690 SF and consists of four stories over a 1-story parking garage; this building provides 84 dormitory units, classrooms and amenity spaces. There are 156 parking spaces combined between the two buildings.
