  • Reno Aces Suite Level

    Project 1: Demolition and refresh of Bugsy’s/The Club restaurant that overlooks the left field area from the suite level. Refresh included new flooring, removal of one bar area, addition of buffet cabinetry, bar refresh with a new tile front and updated countertops. The original ceiling in the ceiling coffers were removed and new Armstrong wood ceilings and specialized lighting was added to these areas to create the retro look the Aces were designing for. Project 2: Demolition and updating of one suite and the suite hallway with updated cabinetry, countertops, carpeting, and lighting. The remainder of the suites will be managed in the next year refresh. Project 3: Creating a steel trellis at the rightfield bar. Included structural steel installation for the main trellis structure as well as Longboard (aluminum to look like wood) installed between the structural steel members to create a wood like roofing structure. Lighting, signage, and fans were also added. Project 4: Double Play Area – Included demoing three rows of stadium seats at the medium deck of the stadium and created a multi level party zone with railing and drink rails for a party of 50 people for the Aces.     This 188,000 SF tenant improvement build-out of existing cold shell was originally designed and constructed by Devcon. Architectural upgrades include new finishes throughout, partition and ceiling work to accommodate acoustical concerns, restroom cores for future offices, and a new employee entry area. Structural upgrades include modifications to the existing structure to accommodate new rooftop mechanical systems, new lobby and central stairwells, and an exterior shipping and storage shed. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades include new rooftop DX boxcar mechanical units, new ALC control system, 800 kW emergency generator, 600 kVA flywheel UPS, interior and exterior lighting, HHW and DHW skids, NG, condensate, and CDA systems, to serve a variety of areas including lab space, server/IDF/MDF areas, open office, private offices, warehouse, café, and gym. Project includes open office space with exposed ceilings, private offices, conference rooms, show rooms, break rooms, telepresence rooms, a retail store, an art gallery, a locker room with showers, customer briefing center with a multifunctional auditorium, and an archive display room for visiting guests.     900,000 SF design/build project consisting of core & shell of two 300,000 SF 7-story high-rise steel structures on podium above a 300,000 SF, 2-story below grade garage housing 800 vehicles, on approximately 175,000 SF of site. The project includes office, retail, and lobby space, and also features construction of two new streets, outdoor plazas and elaborate sitework featuring precast planters, unit pavers and stainless steel trellis above an ipe wood deck. The building exterior skin consists of precast and a unitized glass curtain wall system with integral terracotta. The project will receive a LEED GOLD rating.     This project features a 4,000 SF remodel of existing space within the Cecil Green Library for use as a special collections reading room. New space includes high end millwork finishes, extensive AV features, as well as rework of existing mechanical and electrical systems. Project also features new floor to ceiling wall art displays in the entirety of the 3-story stairwell. Devcon worked closely with both Stanford and David Rumsey to achieve a collaborative display space. Finishes throughout the project include metallic epoxy flooring, ceramic tile, LVT, marble, high end light fixtures, indoor fountains, and LED lighting at floor level to illuminate the custom color/pattern carpet. Custom retail and beverage stations niches can be found throughout the spa. MEP systems and equipment were completely replaced for the two 6-story buildings, and existing rooftop mechanical units were reused at the two 3-story buildings. The exterior skin facades of two buildings were renovated and the project also features a new four-level, 810 stall parking garage and significant site work for Broadcom’s new campus in North San Jose.
