    This two phase 53,500 SF project consists of the demolition of an antiquated gym, construction of a new gym, and renovation of an existing gym with construction scheduled to provide the client with uninterrupted use of at least one facility. The new construction includes a 28,500 SF basketball and volleyball gym with retractable grandstand seating, scoreboard, state of the art audio/visual system, concessions, main lobby, locker rooms complete with restrooms, showers and over 500 student lockers. The project also features a 6,500 SF fitness and weight room on the second floor with a high impact medicine ball wall, astroturf, cardio and weight machines, trainer’s offices and facilities to include hydrotherapy rooms.     This 27,000 SF office remodel consists of new interior finishes including butt-glaze window wall systems with sliding glass doors, cork and sisal flooring, wood slat wall panels, new recycled content ceiling tile, and aluminum screens walls with Green Monster Board Panels. The project also features an “Arktura” undulating metal fin ceiling; this is the first ceiling of this type on the West Coast. All work was performed while the building remained partially occupied.     This new design/build 16,000 SF student center consists of a large gathering hall at the first floor and offices and conference rooms at the second floor. This steel-framed building has been designed in the Mission style typical of the SCU campus, with a plaster exterior, arcade walkways, wood trellises, and a clay tile roof. The goal for the project is a LEED Gold certification, through the use of recycled materials, energy-efficient mechanical systems, natural ventilation, natural light, etc. Extensive sitework, including a new Alumni Park area, is included in the scope of work. A new Resident Fellow, self contained apartment was added in the renovation, as well as six new offices. A seismic upgrade at the hall brought the structure to current seismic performance standards.
